A
Beacon
OF HOPE

Life is full of hardships, struggles, heartache and troubles. We all know this. Biblical counseling is about having conversations about the questions and challenges that we face – things that really matter to us – in our health and sickness, in relationships, in our families, in our friendships, in our schools, in our workplaces, in our communities, in our nation and world.

We believe that hope and wise truth are found when we look to the Bible, the written Word, and see Jesus, the living Word. The Word provides a beacon of light that gives us hope in the midst of our darkness. We want to share with you how Jesus is a sanctuary and safe harbor for our weary souls.

About

Harbor Center for Biblical Counseling

We believe that a church should offer wise and loving care to people in their hardships, to those already part of the church family and to our neighbors. To that end, HCBC is one way that discipleship happens at Mound Evangelical Free Church. It is focused and intentional discipleship for a season of life. Through training and experience, the HCBC team of biblical counselors are recognized for having developed and demonstrated three things: (1) biblical convictions about what it means to follow Jesus; (2) a maturing Christ-like character; and (3) competency in helping others to follow Jesus.
